André Kertész
July 2nd, 1894 – September 28th, 1985

André Kertész is one of the most seminal figures in 20th century photography.  With a career spanning over seventy years and three continents, Kertész defined the lexicon for street photography and photojournalism that we still use today.  Kertész's photographs were marked by an impeccable sense of geometry, a keen understanding of the human condition, and a profound appreciation for the beauty found in the ordinary life.

“We all owe something to Kertész.”
-
 Henri Cartier-Bresson
